A hard Christmas

DSCF3803 - CopyI wish I could honestly say Merry Christmas to you all.  But it has been a hard Christmas this year.  In a season where we celebrate life death happens.   On Dec 23rd my best friend from work died of a heart attack suddenly.  He was 41.  We bury Him tomorrow.  Christmas Eve our beloved Scooter (our cat of 14 years) had a stroke and for the past few days we have had to comfort him until the veterinary clinic opened this morning.  He is without pain now and we will bury him at the property this afternoon.  This is a joyous season in which we celebrate the birth of our Savior.  In a few months we will also remember the sacrifice He paid on the cross for us so that we may have eternal life.  Although my heart is sad and the past few days have been tough, my eyes remain fixed on the author and perfecter of my faith Jesus.  He is the one who will sustain through tough times ahead and He is the reason I can smile right now and say  Merry Christmas for unto us a child is born the Savior of the world.  Hallelujah.

Sorry to hear about Scooter. For most cats, that is a full life. Chloe is doing all right at 18 years. It will be hard for us too when she goes. Have a good new year.
